If drinking a lot of alcohol makes you an alcoholic then does drinking a lot of Fanta make me fantastic??
Davis hit a line drive to the fence double yesterday. I'd say he's fantastic! Lol!! If he could run fast he could have made an inside the park homerun!!
Derek shot 40 in his 9 hole tournament. Yay!

Volunteer of the month
I've been at Eddins for eight years. Served on the PTA board, happily volunteered numerous hours of my time. This month I was named volunteer of the month. Who didn't show up for announcements today? Me. Davis accepted my book with the principal. I suck.

I LOVE VALENTINE'S DAY!
I'm sorry if you hate it. And I can hear you now...Hallmark Holiday...Send me random flowers on a Wednesday...don't need a "holiday" to show people I love them...blah blah blah....
Well, I love it. I am so happy that my kids love it. I am happy my kids love it because that means I did it right. I loved it as a kid because my mom did it right. It is our family tradition. A card, a box of chocolate, and a small gift, but most importantly being told to stay in your room until dinner was ready and walking out to a decked out Valentine's table of fun! I wish I could find the red hots that were ALWAYS on the Valentine's table growing up. My mom made dinner everyday. Loved us everyday. Did special things for us all the time. We didn't NEED Valentines to know that she loved us, she showed us everyday, but it sure was fun. So when I read the FB posts about why you don't like the "Hallmark Holiday" I kinda feel sorry for you. Just find a little bit of joy in it. The fact that it makes you angrily think that you love your family everyday, that you don't need a holiday for love, is enough. Don't celebrate it, but it did make you think about how much you love people. If it makes you love them on a random Wednesday....YaY!!!!
My favorite part of this Valentine's is the cookie cutter I used to make heart shaped cheese crisps. I didn't think much of it until I noticed my name hand written on the side. It is from my sweet Aunt Patsy who hosted my Bridal luncheon (15 years ago) and had one at all my bridesmaids place settings. She move on to find her special place in heaven just about a month ago. I love that on this day I was reminded of her and her great love for everyone.
